# Global Node

> A prompt prepended to every other node

The Global node holds instructions that apply to the whole call. Its prompt is prepended to every prompted node that has **Add Global Prompt** turned on, which is the default.

Use it for what should not change as the conversation moves: persona, tone, objection handling, rules the agent must always follow.

At most one Global node per workflow.

To keep a particular step out of it, turn **Add Global Prompt** off on that node.
