Camb is a speech platform built around very wide language coverage. In SentiVue Talk it provides the voice that speaks your agent’s responses.

What you need

Getting your API key

  1. Sign in to CAMB.AI Studio.
  2. Open your account settings.
  3. Generate an API key.
  4. Copy the key and store it somewhere safe before leaving the page.
Create separate keys for development and production so you can revoke one without breaking the other.

Adding the connection

  1. Go to Connections and choose Camb.
  2. Paste the API key.
  3. Save.
The connection is stored as you save it. A wrong or expired key first shows up on a live call, so place a test call once you have selected a voice.

What you can select afterwards

Choose your voice on Model Configurations. Model — pick a MARS variant; language coverage differs between them. See Camb’s models page. Voice — a voice is identified by a numeric ID, for example 147320. Browse the voices available to your key in CAMB.AI Studio. Language — a locale code such as en-us. Check yours against Camb’s language support page.

Completing the pipeline

Camb drives voice only. You also need: Each is a separate connection.

Troubleshooting

Saving does not check the key with Camb, so a typo or an expired key only surfaces on a call. Regenerate the key in CAMB.AI Studio, paste it again, and place a test call.
Enter the numeric voice ID, not the voice name. Also confirm the voice is available to your account — a custom voice belongs to the account that created it.
The language set on the connection drives pronunciation. Set the locale code that matches your callers, and check that your chosen model covers it — the MARS variants do not all support the same languages.
Check your usage and plan limits in CAMB.AI Studio. An account that has exhausted its allowance stops serving requests until it is topped up.
